General Information

European Center for Nanostructured Polymers (ECNP) and the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry, Czech Academy of Sciences, Prague, jointly organize the

ECNP Young Scientist Conference and Short course.

Purpose
  • to promote networking among young scientists active in the field of nanostructured polymer materials through communications and discussions of their results in a young, dynamic and international context.
  • to offer tutorial lectures within the Short course which will provide recent insights into the topic of nanostructured polymer materials.
ECNP Young Scientist Conference is open to any contribution related to polymer science, i.e. from macromolecular synthesis to polymer processing and polymer physics. Each selected young researcher participant (PhDs, post-docs, young scientists) will a 20-minute presentation and is entitled to present poster(s).

The Short course will be focused on functional polymers, mainly for electronic, optical, sensing and biomedical applications, and it will consist of tutorial lectures and some informal sessions with time for questions and discussion. The lecturers are all internationally recognised experts with many years experience in their fields.

Who should attend?

The events are open to PhD students and young researchers from academic research institutions as well as to industrial researchers. Short presentations will be given by PhD students and young scientists, from both academia and industry.
The participants can exploit the possibility to attend the subsequent event – the regular international ECNP Conference on Nanostructured Polymers and Nanocomposites for reduced price.
